With the 2012 NFL combine just over two weeks away (starts Feb 22nd) – Today we present an interesting Mock Draft from NFL Draft Room that has three RB selected in the first round by teams that have established RBs already on their rosters.

Alabama’s Trent Richardson is the consensus #1 RB prospect and is expected to be a top 10 pick. If Richardson slips to #11 and KC goes best player available then T-Rich could be considered. However, with Jamaal Charles fully expected to return from the ACL injury suffered in the first month of the season – we feel KC has more pressing needs than RB.

The Bears at #19 and Texans at #26 both selecting first round RBs are questionable moves as free agent Matt Forte is fully expected to return to Chicago and Khalil Bell showed promise late in the season. In Houston, free agent Arian Foster is also expected to be back and Ben Tate should see his workload increase in 2012. RBs David Wilson (Va Tech) and Lamar Miller (Miami) are both viewed as potential first rounders but teams like Arizona, NY Jets, Cincinnati, Denver and possibly New England are more likely to go RB in round 1 in our opinion.
